speedometer erratic
I've got a 1998 ranger 2wd with manual trans. My speedometer is very erratic. It goes steady and then just starts going crazy, I am looking for some advice on what to check. Thanks in advance

If your speedo takes it's signal from the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) on the rear diff, then that's the problem... They're less than 15 bucks at the dealership, and install in about 5 minutes with one bolt... I had to replace mine at 30K.
