So today I got my seat all stripped down and I pressure washed it to get ready for paint. Luckily all the springs are in good shape and just a little surface rust here and there. Back foam is in decent shape... bottom is not. It had a huge rats nest hollowed out of the drivers side. I found 2 metal tags on the frame. The one on the back says "Stubnitz King 78" and #5TB1061018AB1038 and the bottom tag says "Stubnitz King 78" #8TB1063100AB1038.
I'm wondering if this is the original seat since I need to order bottom foam and upholstery kit? It appears to me to be an original seat... looks like all the others I've seen and seat belts and mounting holes all look correct. LMC Truck has both so probably order from them.
Any insight would be appreciated... Thanks

 

I have new bottom foam and it seems to sit you a little higher, other than that it's fine. you could probably cut it down some if you wanted.

The seats are the same in standard cabs so don't worry about it. there are quite a few different covers available but most aren't as original as I'd like. I have an XLT so I bought the Mac's XLT cover and it's nice I'd buy another. but you could upgrade any seat to it if you wanted.

 

I need to check out the XLT cover.

 

This is mine, '76 high boy. from Mac's auto. I think ACC makes them . the seat buttons are original but not included with the cover.
