Tailgate trim removal

I need to remove the tailgate trim, ladder and the handle assembly on my 2018 F350 XLT. Anyone do this before? Does the top piece just snap off and the ladder held in with a couple bolts if i recall reading. Thanks!

the plastic cap just pulls off (snapped on). basically single use unfortunately because you can't easily release the snaps. the metal underneath is very thin and flimsy. just cut the snap tabs off as you go.

Also if you have a upper trim with the gate trim panel you will need thies clips as you will brake several of them. Even though they are for a JEEP thies are a exact match for ours
