Hi I’ve just purchased a 1947 Ford f1 and looking to see if anyone on here knows anything about them. Iam Struggling with a few things like the carb is taking in to much air and leaving it with a flat spot ??. Can anyone tell me where the vacuum advance is on the distributor all help is very much appreciated. Asa My 47 & my wife’s 52
Your, "jail bar" is not an F-1. That sweet looking red unit, behind the jail bar, is an F-1. !948 through 1952, only. That said, Welcome to FTE. The place for your question(s) and probably more answers than you will need, is in the, "Older, Classic and Antique Trucks" section. The folks there know all about your truck, it's engines and most everything else that fits it.

Welcome. Nice looking jail bar. My '39 p/u has an 8ba with a Chevy distributor so I really can't help you about your distributor vacuum advance but I'm sure you'll get the answer(s) you need.
