HAHAHA. Trying to take the oil pan off. That Ford RTV is like liquid weld. Actually its probably better than I can weld. No big deal we'll get er off. Got the Lpop, water pump, harmonic balancer off. Looks like I'm going to need a new harmonic balancer. Rubber is squishing out and its obviously not round anymore. I could pry the pan off I'm sure but I'm trying real hard to not to bend it up, its still virtually rust free and in good shape.

Got it off by slowly working my way around with 2 small screwdrivers and a utility knife. Dear diary. Today I got the rear main seal put on along with removing and resealing the rear cover. Tomorrow I am going to decide on whether to reuse the water pump and put the front cover on or order a new pump. I need to order a pickup tube gasket anyway. Basically this project IMO was about the most stupid thing I could do but I am broke as a joke. I have never had an engine out and not just gone ahead and done all the work necessary. I wish I had about 3k.

Front cover, water pump are back on, today I put the oil pan back on. I think I may have gone slightly over board with the amount of sealant but, its done now. At least there was squeeze out all the way around Im going to let it sit 48 hours before flipping it back right side up. Basically all thats left after that is HPOP stuff and put it back in. One thing im wondering is how you jack the engine up to put the trans back? I normally just jack it up by the oil pan but man... After doing the reseal and stuff it seems like that would be a lot of stress on my nice new pan seal.

My trans is out and i can grab the turbo by hand to move mine back n forth on the mounts

Im doing this with no help so I was thinking of using the engine lift tabs to pull it forward with a long tiedown ( reachable from under) while stabbing the trans in

Good Idea I can try to use the engine picker and eyes to maybe keep it straight enough to get the trans in.

I have the Irate efuel but I cant stand how the t fitting on the drivers side is right in the way of the injector plugin, the HP oil line and the rubber fuel feed line rubs on the ICP. Anyone else have those issues and did you solve them?

Started her up today. Let her run for about 45 or so minutes to let the oil get hot enough to show leaks. Seems to have solved the valley leak. It would be full of oil after 5 or 10 minutes before. All thats really left now is to put the hood back on and to clean up the MASSIVE mess I made.

I will be very glad to be able to drive this truck. I have had it for 3 years and don't have 20 miles on it. It was so neglected and needed much work, then my life got super busy ,but we need this truck pretty badly now so it was time. Right now its taking about 6 or so seconds to build enough ICP pressure to start. I'm hoping that it gets better after I drive it around but I wont be able to do that until Friday because it needs registration and insurance.
