Thanks for the tips on Jax JY's. Ended up going to the place off Old Byram Rd (Starz) for an hour or so. They had a few 92-96 era trucks that weren't too picked over...and a few 8th gen's too. That location ended up being more of a recon trip instead of parts gathering effort but still enjoyed the visit and got a few small interior parts. And by the way, I'm sure we've all seen vehicles with signs of rats having lived in them, but they had a truck with the biggest nest I'd ever seen. It also sorta looked still active ...
Then went to the Pull-a-Part on the I-55 Service Rd for another couple of hours or so. They also had several 8th and 9th gen's but more picked over. I scored a couple of items there but also left a few of the small pieces at the counter 'cause I think they are overpriced on some of the smaller, simpler items. My main find there was an in-bed spare tire holder. That item had been on my pick-list so long, I nearly forgot I was looking for one. Anyways my main target yesterday was a 92-96 bumper - the one with the slots and plastic trim inserts, but only found the chrome with full-width rub strips.
The other locations I wanted to check out either didn't allow walk-around-shopping, or I just didn't have time to fit them in before the football game in Vicksburg which was the real reason that took me "up state". Also was looking for Mike a chrome grill for a 97 Ranger but only found them on 99's and after.
Starz JY stuff - The 8th gen has a pretty good push bar if anyone's interested. I found one like this locally about a month ago and had a local welder add some 3/16 x 1-1/2 strips to the vertical pieces. Then I painted it all black and put on the 89 at home (as in last picture)
