Clunky Auto Tranny?
My 88 Bronco has such a clunky transmission.(Automatic) Most of the time when you let off the gas it takes a second or two and clunks. I Don't even like to put it in overdrive because it clunks going in that too. I also have an 82 f-100 with an FAOD and it also clunks when you let off the gas but overdrive is fine. My Bronco is overdrive but I don't know if it is still and FAOD. The transmission does not slip and the fluid is not burnt. I am not too sure what the noise could be coming from. Maybe one of you have an idea?
