Dual tank question
Has anyone done or know anyone who has done a front tank delete? My front tank in my 1990 f250 was rusted real bad and toasted the pump, i don’t have the money right now to replace the tank and pump so would it still all work the same if i plum the fuel lines straight through and cap off the wiring? Or is it just smarter to save the money for a little and replace the tank and pump?
Im not the worlds greatest mechanic but i can get myself around when i work on stuff. I appreciate any help i can get. Thank you in advance

If, at some point, you plan on replacing the tank, why not leave it alone and simply not use that tank?
There is a way to delete the tank and terminate the lines without causing other issues. I’d have to search the forum to find the procedure.

Best way is just to use the connections from the old fuel pump - create block offs for the pressure and return lines by cutting them off at the OLD fuel pump, blocking up the ends however you like, and then re-connecting them.
I used a ziploc bag to cover the vent tube (to charcoal canister) and the plug for the fuel pump. I ran without a back tank for almost a year this way, with no leaks.
