They are all 1-1/2" axles with 35 splines. There are some eroneous Ford publications that say some 10.5 axles have 37 splines. Ford has admitted the error, but never fixed those pubs....
I am just went throught the same decision process and chose to get a Ford electronic differential carrier for my original axle ('01 F250). I will have it complete for less money than an Eaton E-Locker or Ox Lox electric locker. I bought a Ford Authorized Reman with a 2 year warranty off ebay for $600.00.

One of those threads also has a link to a thread on a Bronco forum which has some good info as well. Be aware that older SD's have a single ABS Tone Ring in the carrier and the axles with E-lockers have them at each wheel so you will have to install the locker in your old housing and retrofit the tone ring to the new carrier.
