Is this normal pushrod wear?

Is this normal for rods to rubs against the block like this

Those marks are machined from the factory for pushrod clearance. Some blocks have them deeper than others just depending on variance in the castings.

Pushrod interference would also leave vertical scars, not horizontal abrasion marks.
