Shifter broken

Got in my truck this morning and the shifter would go all the way down but it wouldn’t even get out of park? What did I break and how much would the parts be?

Gotta crawl under and look - could be as simple as the linkage popped off the side of the transmission.

Lay under truck and look at where shifter cable connects to linkage. Have someone else shift it from Park all the way to 1st and see if it moves. If the cable just slides the plastic clip back and forth but not the linkage just replace the clip. Dorman makes one, bushingfix.com, and a few others.
Note:Make sure to chock the wheels
