What’s up y’all? New here and if I’m in the wrong place please guide me…any how I have a 73 f100 custom lwb 2wd I plan to bag and bodydrop… so here is the question what front end did y’all bagged guys go with? And why? And what issues? And where? There’s not much as far as bagged chassis stuff goes for 73-79… any help is appreciated
The majority that are going for the lowered look currently seem to be using the Crown Vic front suspension swap. Pretty cheap and as I understand, relatively easy compared to bags.
[QUOTE=chipdog4;20572496]Ridetech finally has their kit available for old Fords. They make their own bolt in front suspension and have an Air Ride kit available
Yeah I’ve looked at those not to big on the whole strut bag thing they got going there… I’m more than likely going with a cv based suspension… but just was wondering if I’m missing a good kit that google can’t find… I looked at the qa1 kit and they said they would t recomend it for bags
I’m going for this stance lol but this is custom built front suspension I don’t mind going that direction but a prefabricated front suspension would be nice
Just curious about what these things look like when on the move. They are always pictured parked. Surely they have to be elevated some in order to move, go round corners and so forth. Anyone with pictures of slammed trucks in motion?
I believe I read that the particular truck I showed the picture of has like 10” of lift to it… I had a bagged Nissan hardbody I rode around with it at about 3-4” ride height… my range was frame on the ground to about 13” off the ground…I’ve seen bodydropped trucks that ride down the highway at less than an inch lol 🤣
