So what was the out come of this issue? Did you did the problem?
Hey Rich,
The truck is currently at the mechanics having the steering box replaced.
I got the blower working by taking the unit out of the dash (still plugged in) unplugging the fan speed plug and then plugging it back in but not all the way I left a tiny gap , probably cleared some corrosion however once I put it back in the dash it stopped working again so I am thinking a loose/broken wire or a bad ground.
As far as the A/C control switch goes I am not sure if it was working correctly. I am gonna tinker with it when i get it back.
I will keep this updated. If you still have the extra control unit let me know in a PM and if you have a working whole assembly, or a line on one please let me know
Be careful taking the control panel in and out. The vacuum switch on the bottom is very touchy and the plastic stud (that mounts the vacuum direction/adjustment wheel) breaks easy. And the spring and star washer and bottom part fall off. I do have some extra 9 port/3 elec spade connectors valves. Just holler is you need a part.

I have been very careful as i know how fragile these are thanks to your advice. So far it has held on, however when i first went to remove it i noticed that the whole vacuum line rubber piece was disconnected. I gently replaced it but now i have the issue of it not running the fan.
I haven't fully tested the switch but it's seems more likely now that i think about it. I should have the truck back this week so I can look it over and let you know.
Just wanted to give a update as of 4/4/2023
Installed a good working fan switch and a good working AC control switch from Rich (77&79Ford) and I now have a working heating system. The motor doesn't respond as fast as I would like so i am gonna put my new blower motor in BUT it actually works now. I still have ti fully install the AC switch as it was just a quick plug it in see if it actually works. So i will just clean the contacts and then assemble everything.
Make sure check the old blower operation turning direction before you cut the wires. And then test the new blower fan for same rotation direction before a total install. Regardless of the 2 wiring colors and or the plug. And lube the set screw with WD40 and NOT PB Blaster. Unless you REALLY like the smell of PB Blaster.
Also use a long reach allen T handle to get to the set screw and get it loose. Carefully guide it thru the fan blades.

Thanks for the tips Rich. Quick question is there any tips on the AC control swap? I don't wanna mess it up.

YES BE CAREFUL. I would take the complete environmental control panel out the dash and get it on a work bench to be able to easily replace the switch. You have to get to the 2 screws that mount it. And with it in its normal installed position, the screws will be upside down.
Vacuum end plug is removed by lifting on one side, there it a tab to lift up on. Elec connector just pulls off.
Of course it all starts with the dash bezel being removed and maybe the radio. If you are brave and limber, then remove the dash bezel, remove the 4 screws and pull the environmental face plate and switch assemblies out of the dash a bit. Then remove vacuum plug, then elec connector. I would NOT twist the assembly trying to set in the seat and get to the screws. Make sense?

Thanks for the tips Rich I am gonna attempt this tonight. How do i remove the cable.on the back side?
BTW do you know of a source for the buttons I may have lost one in my vent lol.
Should be one small sheet metal screw holding a clamp that's clamped to the cable guide. Undo it and then just slide the loop off the little bent 90° angle.
Tell me how many lever *****/clips you need and I'll send them to you.

Awesome thanks again Rich! I am currently down one it might just be misplaced but maybe a couple to be safe?
