I can't be the only person complaining about a noisy dash cupholder. Besides it being noisy, it sure doesn't deploy smoothly. I'm thinking of replacing it but can't seem to find the right part number. I see the following;
YC3Z-2513560-CAA
YC3Z-2513560-CAB
YC3Z-2513560-CAD
From looking around, it looks like YC3Z-2513560-CAA could be the exact replacement , but there are none to be found. Does anyone have any insight? Of course the color has to be correct.

I find these for the 2001.
When you enter a 2001 Limited, they show as NOT compatible. Those two numbers show as for an XLT. Probably a color difference?
can you post the link where it shows compatible with the 2001 Limited?
From what I know, In 2001 there were 2 colors, Graphite, (medium, & dark) Parchment, (medium, & dark)
If you find the wrong color, the colored front will carefully snap off and you can replace it with yours.
By now you would think I would know the part number sequencing, but I don't, others on here do.

When I enter any of the part numbers above, the only one that comes up fitting the 2001 Limited is YC3Z-2513560-CA. This part lists as “graphite” color. Mine looks more like dark brown. My interior is no different than any other Limited in tan (Medium Parchment).

I would suggest you use the Tasca site. Tasca is basically a Ford parts dealer. Add your VIN to the main search box, and use the various categories to find your part numbers.
is there some special trick to removing these, because i have removed the screws, but mine is still firmly stuck as if its still screwed in.
You have to remove the trash bag plate and there are two fasteners you have to access from under the assembly. Be sure to pull the cupholder out completely to access the bottom two. My new one arrived today from Amazon and the color is slightly off.
The faceplate/trim is nearly impossible to remove without breaking the tabs. I took the original off and plan to use JB Weld to attach it on the new cupholder. The color is off just enough to notice but not too bad.
I don't have a trash bag holder i have a pull out ash tray instead that i use as a drawer since i don't smoke, but i get the picture.
Mine isn't broken it works perfectly, however that cupholder is useless to me since i have a 10 inch screen right 2 inches above it that i monitor the engine with. I want to remove it, and put a quad band radio there instead in the dash.
Your original color looks like the Dark Parchment. Looks like you received Light Parchment, or Light Pebble.
Both the Graphite and Parchment colors, changed to Flint, and Pebble somewhere around 2003- 2004 ?, I posted more certain findings in the past.
