Hey y’all, I was wondering if anyone knew of a kit or some newer style tow mirrors that don’t remove the vent window. Alot of people just say rip the old things off for a bracket but down here in the south, vent windows can be one creature comfort! But if there are no options, what are y’all’s favorite tow mirrors?
The obs solutions kit doesn’t eliminate the vent window. You can still even open it. There are some YouTube videos about them. They’re pretty slick and fit (I believe) a GM side mirror that you’ll need to wire
I have the optional recreational mirrors on my truck. These were still available last I checked from Ford dealers. They don't interfere with the vent windows
OK if you are saying you have to remove the vent window to weld in a bracket, and then you put it back in, but you said they are a creature comfort you don't want to do without. I am still trying to figure out what you were referring to here.
Yes I was really just wondering if anyone had experience or suggestions with some newer style tow mirrors. I have the large tripod ones on my truck but the glass is broke on the drivers, so if i’m gonna take one off I might as well just explore replacing both with something new. The obs solutions bracket kit will allow for around 50% of the vent function, which is fine, I was just asking around for suggestions that is all!
Does anyone know where i can find a setup like this? It doesn’t look super flashy, doesn’t require welding, and seems relatively cheap. ps sorry for the grainy photo I found it off of an old post from powerstroke nation.

It’s your truck but this is the route I would take.
The styling of the newer mirrors doesn’t look right to me. I agree with the post that said that looks like a lot of weight on one bracket.
I agree, I think I’m just going to go see if my local auto glass place can just fix the four-point mirror I have on it now. Down the road, I may try to put new style ones on it, but I really don’t feel like paint matching on my truck just to fill in two holes.
