Door ajar switch help
03 f350 only one door the drivers will activate the dome light when it is open. The other three do nothing. I have lubed the switches and open the door multiple times and still have a door ajar alarm and they don’t like does not function. What is the chance, three of the four switches are bad? Any other troubleshooting I can do before buying three switches

Check the wiring in the door hinge area for breaks as well as whether the switches are still functioning. Or maybe there's a plug somewhere in the dashboard where all that comes together that has become corroded due to a leaking windshield dripping water on it?

Checked wiring in dash its all good,. Yup drivers door is only one that illuminates the light and the warning light is always on at all times. The light stays on also if you leave a bulb in it after all door are shut and truck is started.

On my 2002 they were real stubborn, took lots of WD 40 before they finally started working. Then a few years later I had issues again but it also included a lot of other things like the door locks operating all by themselves and the radio staying on, door ajar light staying on etc, that turned out to be the VSM. A new VSM fixed it but apparently new VSMs are now NLA.
