Hey Y'all I know a lot of people have done this, but I can't find any straight answers, I'm trying to put a power steering gearbox on my 1972 ford. I currently have one from a 1979 I was going to put on it, but some say it won't fit and that a different one is needed. Any suggestions?
Let's get this straight: you need to give us basic info, 2wd/4wd, F-100/250, modifications done, to enable someone to answer your questions. We are not mindreaders here.

Oops my bad. It's a 4wd f250 with a inline 6 and a 4 speed transmission.
I have a 1971 F250 4 x 4 And I used the 1979 F250 power steering box. It takes a little bit of welding but overall pretty easy project. I also did the Saginaw power steering pump mod. I’m very happy I did both of them the ps system works really good. I have a couple of pictures in my album If you want to see what it looks like. Good luck
Has anyone tried the electric power steering conversion for f250 highboys. It sounds too good to be true. Opinions always welcome
I have a used one for sale in the marketplace. It works great, I ran into an issue when I was installing a new upgraded steering column which is the only reason I’m selling. The EPS has adjustability to the amount of assist it has so you can turn it down if you’re doing a lot of highway and turn up is you’re operating in close quarters with a lot of turning. I thought it’s a pretty neat setup.
