Identification question.

Hello All,
This is my first post here as a new member. I have found this forum to be quite helpful and appreciate any further help received. I'm also happy to help with any questions I can. That being said.....

I have a 98 F150 4.6 that I'm essentially restoring. In the process of removing the intake and doing an upper end "overhaul" i came across something I could not identify. I was wondering if anyone could tell me with certainty what this "hole" is for? Should it be capped? The pictures aren't the greatest. It is under the intake on the passengers side head. Approximately a 12mm threaded hole. I would like to identify this before throwing everything back together.

Much appreciated!

-Ben

Hole is just above finger pointing.

Grit and dirt in hole. Not sure if it is something that should be capped/plugged. Passengers side head.
