The OP is in search of an upgraded steering gear. An E-Series van has the exact same gear as a full size truck. What is different on the vans is the power steering pump.
The gear is not the same for all years and models. In 87 the E-series used the same gear as a 95 F-series. In 92 the E-series has a different part number for the Motorcraft gear than the previous E-series generation and all F-series until at least 97 250s and 350s.

You’re saying that the E- vans used that gear through ‘87 while the trucks continued to use it up until end in ‘97. What is different about it? When you look up the part number for a van and a truck it comes back with the same replacement number.

the truck used the same gear (F8TC3504ABRM or F8TZ3504ACRM) until 97. The E-series used that same gear until the early 90s and then they went to (F8UC3504ABRM or F8UZ3504ACRM). I cant tell you what the difference is but I did the research in these forums before to do it on my truck but I haven't decided on that or hydroboost yet.
Some E model vans have a heavier duty or more luxury type system and according to the Minute Masters guy, stops the turning squeak that some of the truck do. And I just remembered, he was changing out the pump.. so, gears are probably the same but different pumps. My bad..
Thank y’all for all the replies. I ended up getting a Redhead 4 bolt Saginaw steering gear box, and have all the parts to do the Saginaw pump conversion. Now just need to figure out all the hoses
I am using the pickup’s return hose and the pressure hose from the van. Unfortunately that eliminated the pressure switch that was on the 302 but that’s ok since a 351 never came with one.
I just ordered a van pressure hose, was hoping it would be close enough, or if not, it would serve as a good template to take to the hose making place. So you are using the Saginaw 4 bolt box ? One thing that puzzled me is Redhead indeed lists the correct tooth count for the output shaft, 32 I think. But the input shaft is listed as a 27 I think, and the stick Ford box is listed as a 29, may have that backwards. I’m hoping it will all work out
Sorry. I misread the Saginaw part. I have a regular Ford steering gear with a Saginaw pump from a van. You would either have an o-ring or a compression fitting. I guess the other problem would be standard or metric threads
