Driving vibrations

Hey guys! So I had a new set of tires(35x12.50x20) put on my truck about 2 weeks ago. The original shop could only get 1 tire balanced out to zero. Said it was because of the size and being an MT tire. So they got it as close as they could until I could get it to another shop. Obviously it had a vibration in the front after that. Had the tire balance out again. This time they said they was able to get them balanced out to zero all the way around. After leaving the truck drove great no vibration. The next day the vibration is back but slightly different. Now I feel it around 45-55mph only. Almost seems like once it shifts to OD the vibration stops. All parts in the front end have been replaced within the last year. Also for 1 day my ABS light would come on and off. Has not came back on after just one day of flickering. Should I take it back and have the tires checked or start looking at other internal options?

I would check the rear driveline Ujoints for play (check in neutral with the parking brake set or tires chocked).

Is it a 4 wheel ABS truck? A failing front unit hub can give you a flickering ABS light. Might be time for a front end shakedown.

Also, welcome to the forum.

Brakes are not sticking. Carrier bearing and U joints was replaced 4 months ago. I did check fly wheel bolts. All was good and tight there.

U joints was just replaced 4 months ago. I did check again though just to rule out and all look well there. As for ABS is only 2 wheel ABS. I just fine it odd that it just started after new tire placement but could be the weight of new tire causing underlying problem to show up.

And Thank you!

Have you looked for signs of a recently departed weight? Doesn't happen a lot but it does happen. One of a handful of reasons I prefer internal balancing methods.

If it's strictly speed related I would still be looking at wheel/tire balance. Possible driveline. Any chance you have another mounted set of tires that could be used for troubleshooting?

35's aren't really that big, but we would usually run big tires 100 miles then balance or re-balance. Seems like they took a set after a few miles.

If it is in fact load related, U Joints and rear diff are the most common culprits.

Flywheel bolts being tight doesn't rule out the possibility of a crack.
