PCM blew out

My 1996 F250 7.3 xlt PCM blew out the side wall of the box. I can't figure out how or why it happened. I did replace the UVC gasket on the driver side and replaced the rear gasket plug closest to the turbo. #8 cylinder exhaust side pushrod is broken and u removed it. The intake pushrod on #8 is bent. Why did my PCM literally blow up in my face??

Have never heard of one blowing up. Perhaps a picture of the case and the inside would help give some clues. Use the square in the quick reply above, beside the smiley face to post pics. Did you do any cross placement of the battery terminals?

The stars, planets, and aliens, would need to line up...but if it got wet enuff somehow, and blowed all 3 of the electrolyte capacitors, at once eehhh, it could happen

Um, show pictures please, i'm confused.
You talk about a gasket being replaced, a broken push rod and a bent push rod.
Those have nothing to do with the Power Control Module(PCM).
