2005 E150 trailer wiring
Everything I have read shows my van to have a 7 blade connector for trailer wiring. It has the tranny cooler but no hitch or wiring. I found a 4 pin round connector attached to frame near spare tire with grn, blk, brn. and yel. wires. I tested the green wire with right blinkers and it was confirmed as the blinker. I can find no trailer wiring on-line that has ford round 4 pin connector to 4 flat for trailer. What the flock?? I really don't want to splice the wires but................ Bill

Our ‘07 has a connector on the frame above the driver side axle. It looks similar to an OBD2 connector. I got a cable that plugs into that connector on one end with a flat 4-pin connector that barely reaches the bumper at the other end. Hopkins 11140665 says it’s for 09-14 vans but fits our ‘07.

That round plug is for the factory trailer harness you could order with the truck or not
Look for an oem one because they last forever
