Name That Wire!

Howdy Everyone!

New poster, long time lurker... I have a 2012 F-250 Super Duty and I had a new A/C compressor installed in June and my A/C has been blowing cold. I was driving home yesterday about .5 mile from my house and my air went full warm. So I got under the truck to see what's going on, compressor is spinning, I am going to check freon levels later but I found this wire up near my oil filter.

Does anyone know what it might go to? It has a red tip with two prong holes in it. Just making sure it has nothing to do with my evaporator or other component. Thanks for your help!

Looks like the cord end of a block heater.

I 2nd the above post. That is your engine block heater cord.

As far as your A/C issue is concerned? If your compressor is engaged and the lines going to the evaporator are cold, but the air coming out of the vents is warm or hot, that sounds like your temperature blend door or actuator has failed. But if the lines to your evaporator are warm or "not cold", you need to have your A/C system diagnosed with gauges installed to take some pressure readings.
