Hoping someone might help with this problem, that I am having with the door locks on my truck.I have a 2016 F250 XL super cab with 33,000 miles. When closing the passenger door both doors lock.It does this before the passenger doors is completed closed. It does not matter if anyone is in the truck or not. This is the first problem, I have had with this truck.I have had truck sense new.I like this truck a lot hope someone can help. Thanks
Wire in the pass door loom is shorting/being crushed in the door jamb likely. Unclip/buckle the door loom from the pillar and make sure its clean and no water infiltrated. After that your down to taking off the door skin and seeing if you can find a pinched wire more likely in the loom as it does it when the door is moved, in the door it would be ghost like and random unless it uses inertia to move the wire and cause the short and locking the doors. Could be in the pass switch too since it locks both doors when it does it, so its like the switch was pushed to lock the doors.
Thanks,I will look at that,I tried to unlock the door today with the drivers side switch will I was driving, and it would not unlock. If the doors are unlocked and I am in the drivers seat and push the lock switch nothing, push the unlock switch doors lock.Key fab works great.Right now I have changed the program to the no auto lock.
Thanks nydiver,I have been out of town and had not been able to check this, but I did today, and I think you are right on the problem.I took wire loom loose where it goes in the door, and did not see a problem, but when I done this the door locked at a different spot.I will be going out of town again tomorrow for a couple of weeks, when I return home, I will check it out better. Thanks for the information.
