I have a 1979 Bronco with a 351m and its blowing oil out the dipstick tube. I have replaced the pvc valve. I was blowing the valve cover gaskets out until I rienfoced them. Please help wife is getting upset with oil stains on new concrete. May force me to sell.
I have change the oil about 1200 miles ago and the oil is still clean on the dip stick. I was wonder about a vaccum leak or something that is not releaving the crankcase pressure.
I have an oil pressure gauge in the bronco and just like all 351m I have good oil pressure until it warmed up. I do not have a vaccum gauge , but I can get one what do I need It for?
As far as the vacuum gauge, I don't know, you suspected a vacuum leak? So see how much vacuum you have. I don't think that is the problem though, unless your PCV valve is stuck. That might cause your type of problem. Take the PCV valve out and shake it, you should hear the valve inside rattle around. You don't need a gauge for this test.
