O-rings

No I smoked cigarettes for 10 yrs and could never figure it out! I've seen friends do it though.
I quit cigarettes, but I still try; kind of hard to blow smoke rings after a bong hit!! Yea, I just looked at the clock here it's almost 4:20pm!! Gotta go later!

Ex-g/f took me to a scuba diving pool once, only once. An instructor took me down to the bottom of the pool, and he laid on his back and blew "water" rings. About 30-35 feet under water and when they reached the surface they were about Ø10. You could see the water turning around the air. I was amased.

OK, I admit it, I can do it. No tongue involved. Make your mouth into an "O" shape, with smoke in mouth, jut your jaw forward and close in a snapping motion. The smoke will be pushed out in a small "O". Watch the ring.
Da*n, almost sounds like a technique I saw in a movie once.....

Other Bower can blow smoke rings. It's as described above, although she says you gotta close the back of your throat and then puff the air out. (? I can't do it, just repeating.) Also make sure the ceiling fan isn't on. She says works best someplace that has heavy air, like a bar or lounge, so the ring just hangs in the air.

I don't smoke, but my old brown '86 F-250 could blow smoke rings when it was cold outside. I'm not kidding. It had a 460 in it with that big single exhaust. It was the coolest thing. It would idle rough (kink of a chug) and evertime the engine got into a rhythm, it would blow these perfect smoke rings. Too cool.

I'm at work and had to go outside and try this. I should've read the rest of the thread first, doesn't work too well when the wind is blowing. Although, I've never been able to do it before, why should now be any different?

....Fill yer mouth full of smoke, form an "O" with yer lips, open yer jaw then pop it closed (while maintaining the "O")...while gently exhaling....the bigger the "O", the bigger the ring...
...Now as for Dragon rings, thats a whole different story...

(Other Bower here)
I took firebreathing lessons once upon a time. (It was a Renaissance Faire thing.) I decided I liked my eyebrows, and did not like the taste of lighter fluid. I was OK at it, but the truth is that most girls cannot naturally spit. It's a guy thing I guess, I had to work at it.
However it's easier for girls to blow smoke rings...look at yourself in the mirror when you try it, you should see why... ;-o

When I smoked I learned how to do it. I quit over a yaer ago and can't honestly remember how to do it. I remember that once I did learn it it was pretty easy. You have to be in some still air though. Can't be anywhere with any sort of air moving otherwise it messes up the rings.
