Any tips on removing the trim strip running down the side of the doors & bed ? I have to remove mine & the clips look very fragile & brittle. I assume they pry off, but mine may have been bondoed on. The other pieces have been heavily bondoed, which has caused the seams to rust terribly. I think I have the same problem with the last few pieces still on the truck !!!
I would like to remove the trim with out breaking the clips, so any suggestions ???
My bottom pieces were held on with very fragile and rusty nuts on the inside of the bed and on the back side of the front fenders. The low pieces on the doors had a nut front and rear and the fragile plastic clips across the middle. All those except the doors were reached from underneath the truck. The wide pieces had a nut at each end and the plastic pieces down the length. They popped off easily after I found the nuts at the ends, but after 50 years they plastic is too brittle to put them back on. The cab corners each had two nuts on the inside of the cab,
