Running boards

I like running boards on trucks as they protect the sides of the truck from road debris and it makes it easier for me and passengers to get into the cab. No problems when they are dry and the truck is on level ground, but otherwise they are terrible. My dealer configured 2022 F-150 came with narrow running boards that are hazardous and very slippery when wet and do not provide as much protection as normal running boards.

If you are ordering a specific truck build I would check out the actual dimensions and top surface of the running boards or wait and add third party ones after you get your truck.

I have to agree with you. I feel the same way about the rear bumper. One used to be able to get most of your foot width wise on the rear bumper but it seems so much narrow now a days. Maybe I am just getting old ha ha ha.
