On all of my Coast Guard ships, I've had the pleasure of being able to install a Columbia Shuttle coffee brewing system with an interlocking coffee grinder. You push the button to grind 36 cups of coffee and the brewer will only brew 36 cups.
With that system, I purchased all of my coffee beans from SYSCO....I used the SYSCO imperial beans which are an Arabic blend. These beans once ground and brewed produced the darkest most robust flavor that you could ever imagine. Beans so fresh that the oils are floating to the surface.
I will not drink restaurant coffee, it tastes like someone brewed a leather boot in muck water.
I love DD coffee, very consistent and flavorful. Starbucks is another gruel that I won't touch.
Now I buy the Solimo dark roast K-cups from Amazon. This is something that I enjoy and continue to purchase.

I started having blood pressure issues about 30 years ago and decided that I needed to scale back on my coffee. The result was that I gave up having coffee at the office to limit my access.
All was going well until the office hired a cute, young office administrator to answer the phones, manage paperwork, greet folks coming in the front door, etc.
On day 1 she asked where the coffee was and she was directed to the break room where a pot of Community Coffee was already brewed. One sip, and her exact words were, "aw, hell no!"
The next morning she brought in a grinder, some premium beans, and the smell of fresh ground coffee filled the office. It was at that moment that I realized I was no longer coffee-free at the office!

Victim of Exacto coffee person ! ….
… The year was 70’s something. The Coffee maker was in the shop. The time clock, the coffee maker. Every day a new pot of coffee. It all began with aroma at the time clock. Never late ! Cheetos dipped in Heinz’s Buffa Ranch with cup o coffee make a great afternoon break.

Not a coffee drinker now, used to, now I drink about a 1/2 gallon of ice tea every morn (no sugar) and sometimes warm tea. My 2 cents. Tim sounds like he has a perfect coffee system working
