A lot of guys have found that Ford Ranger pickup seats are a good fit for the 48-52 trucks. The 60-40 split style can be found in later models with the upper trim levels, and are very comfortable.
so i was able to find a '99 explorer set of seats with the center console- the 60/40 ranger seats were toast and needed significant work-
the seat tracks are very similar to the bucket set up so i will be able to fabricate the riser frame for the truck to mount the seats on and i could always remove the console and switch to the 60/40 set up fairly easily-
the buckets were in good shape and comfortable and reclined and folded forward-
fabrication will start this weekend for the mounts- progress
