Title Question

Hi Guys,
I just a few months ago bought my 60 F100 from a guy out in Palomino Valley. He bought the land and all the vehicles on it from the previous owner after her husband passed. He lost the title paper, and is looking for the sales agreement on the land that says all the vehicles are part of the sale.
Fast forward to taking 2 months to get an appointment at the DMV in Carson to find out how to navigate this. I want the title in my name before I begin any work. The DMV was not very helpful at all, but did give me some paper work to fill out and send back in. She did not seem impressed that I had the rear plate with expired tag on it. She even suggested I push it out into the street and call a tow company, then offer to buy it back so they will do the research.
My question is, I'm sure there are many situations like this out there, what advice can you offer to expedite this so I can begin work?

I have not had to deal with this in NV. I know it was a nightmare in Florida so I never plan to buy another vehicle without a title again.
There are some web services that will help you get a title for a fee. I did not end up going that route when I was dealing with this back in the day, so I don't have any to refer you to.
GL! I hope you can get it worked out. I know it possible, but they don't make it easy.

If the person who sold it to you gave you a bill of sale ,you should be able to call a law enforcement officer out to where the truck is located to do a vin inspection to be able to get a title. You can find the forms to print out on DMVs website & other helpful information as well. Other than that, maybe try the county assessors office to help prove the person that sold it to you is currently the title holder to the land & its contents on said property. Also get a notarized written statement from the person that sold it to you that they cant find/dont have the land purchase agreement nor the vehicle title.
Thats where i would start anyway. Goodluck to you.
