AC compressor is not moving.

Hello,

While replacing passenger side manifold I temporarily(4 days)
move AC-compressor towards the front. And bolted it there.
I only took bolt out did not remove any pipes or cables.

So bolt C in the place of B, that gave me room to drill/grind broken stud.
Now when every thing is put back. I put new belt too... AC is not working.
As a matter of fact AC compressor do not rotate at all.

I wonder what should I look at at?
Also would this extra friction from AC compressor pully...damage new belt ?
Can I drive truck like that for few hounded KMs/miles , or should I put W/O AC belt ?

Thank you for your help.

With belt removed, the belt pulley should spin freely and should be able to rotate clutch by hand. If not, I would not reinstall the belt and drive it.

If compressor is damaged, might be able to get a belt length for truck that doesn't have A/C or might find a pulley that takes the place of A/C pump...either scenario depends on your particular truck and how it was optioned from the factory.

My mistake. I touched AC compressor pully with a stick and its rotating with the belt.
Only clutch is not engaging which initially gave me impression the pully was static.

Now I think the power cord perhaps got damage under the tension when I had AC compressor
put on bolt C.
I forgot to remove power plug/switch over the AC-compressor.

Yes clutch move freely with hand. I already have a with-out-ac belt.
When I have some idea how to fix the compressor I will take it out and put smaller belt.

Your clutch will not engage if pressure switch to pcm says low pressure on low side . You probably created a leak . Check the pressures and add some refrigerant . Maybe it was low to start with . If leaking add dye and look for leak .

I got this can from amazaon, since it had pressure gauge on it as well.

Ran AC and put filler in it.. and AC started working for now.
