Knocking sounds
New to this so I appreciate all the help. I have a 2001 7.3l f250. Just did a ebpv delete on the truck and everything seemed fine. Made it half way around the block when I noticed a loud knocking sound. Stopped and shut the truck off and waited a minute before starting it back up. Didn’t knock till the engine was above idle and now it is constant. Haven’t drove the truck in fear of tearing something up. Also noticed the engine running ruff and didn’t sound like it was firing on all 8. New to diesels but have common knowledge of them. Had a hard time getting the turbo and collector pipe clamped back together. Don’t know if that could be the culprit

Aside from something dropping into one of the intakes and taking a ride through the engine, I would be more inclined to suspect you disturbed a fuel line or didn't quit get a connector seated. The passenger side fuel feed line does enter the head right where you were working, may start there.
