fuel starvation
I have a 1995 F150 with the 5.8. Over the last several months the truck has become increasingly hard to start due to fuel starvation. Once started it still has fuel issues for a short time until what seems like the air gets out of the fuel line. I have changed the fuel filter and the f/i controller or whatever you call it under the hood with no change. I have come to realize that if you just turn the key and crank it can take a long time to start if ever but if you crank it, turn the key off and then crank it again it will start but still has starvation issues when you start to drive. The truck has dual tanks and it doesn't matter which tank I'm drawing out of it's still the same issue. Any ideas appreciated.
