No, but it's a 5 year old truck with nearly 100k miles....did you really expect a free loaner?
I do expect a free loaner. Think about it. You go out and spend that kind of money just to have a failure (semi normal and **** happens) but then can’t get the part because they want to lay off some of their most essential people when it comes to parts manufacturing. So yes, in no way would I bought this truck when I did if I knew this would be the case. I’ll never be buying another ford again and this is my 4th brand new.
But hey, regardless of how bad this seems, it could have been a LOT worse in just a few thousand more miles.
Keep the consistent pressure on them and they'll eventually slap a reman 6.7 in there.
I do at least once a week and the same answer I get is “we can’t do anything for you”
like someone be mentioned I even tried to buy a truck off the lot as I’m desperate and they won’t buy mine even though the engine is under warranty and they’re paying for the repairs. Just mind blowing.

It's not a Ford thing, it's a crummy dealership. And the parts shortages are affecting every car company as well as every industry in the country. I just opened a new VA clinic and our procedure area has been waiting on patient monitors along with other vital equipment for a year. I understand your frustration but the grass isn't always greener.

Have they been laying off Mexican workers? That's where the 6.7l is assembled. I would think the issue, like so many lately, is from the supply chain. I do think Ford should offer some resolution to get you into a temp vehicle, even if they just offer to cover half.
Both look to be on back order, but do you know if they are getting you a short block, or is it a long block?

my experience ford is 100% worst woth warranty. Ram sucks to. GM is best of the 3 with warranty. Usually ok to work with with warranty (outside of dealer.) On my duramax my warranty just expired and my radio went out. Dealer said it's not covered. Called GM customer service and they replaced it 2 days later 100% I didn't pay a thing.

GM sux ballz, IMHO……..worst of the worst has been my experience. Crappy product, crappy service, crappy warranty.
A loaner car is at the discretion of the dealer. The exception would be if you included the loaner car option in an extended warranty.
The way car sales are going, a loaner car is one more vehicle the dealer can't sell. The few times I've had a loaner, while my vehicle was in service, it was off the used car lot.

The delay is on Ford and upstream suppliers so they should take the hit on their inability to service the warranty, not the consumer. A nicely worded letter from an attorney should get you a loaner from Ford pretty quickly, if even to avoid the bad press. Would be worth it if it seems like weeks of delay.
I'd argue that the 6.7 in a 350 and under is a medium duty, but that's besides the point. Frankly, loaners are a thing of the past.
not true. I get a loaner evrytime I take my truck in. I just had a brand new f150 with lane departure and nav on a big screen. Truck had 900 miles on it. They have 3. Usually I get an explorer.

Haven't seen a loaner in my neck of the woods in years. You must visit the nation's slowest Ford dealer if they only have 3 loaners and you always get one.
