Driveshaft Issues-75 F100
Hey guys,
I am having some issues with my 75 F100's drivetrain (360, SM465, 4x4). When in gear, especially in third and fourth, there is some sort of metallic clicking/scarping noise on acceleration (not always but often). I suspect that my carrier bearing is going out. Does anyone have the size of the inner diameter on the correct carrier bearing for this set up (1.378 or 1.574)? I also plan on replacing my u-joints during this job, but I have already found those.
Another issue (I am not sure if this is related), is that sometimes the truck makes a metallic bang noise when letting out the clutch. I think this may also be in the drivetrain. Happens most often when letting out the clutch on a hill.
