Ok, so I've had my VIN a couple weeks with a 5 September (Labor Day) build date. When I got the VIN I did the tracker and of course, no WS yet. BUT, I could go through and click the links to see what supposed to be on the build. The normal Limited stuff plus what I had added including the 5er prep, skid plates, etc. Of course, the MC seat delete option was there as well. It's not there any more. YEAH!!!

Just check. Received my email with my VIN on 7/28/22 with a scheduled production week of 8/29. MC seat delete still shows on my options in the tracker.
I just emailed my dealer to let them know how disappointed I am that I ordered a Platinum truck in December and have been patiently waiting, only to have my Platinum truck built in August with the Platinum seats deleted without my approval. I would have patiently continued to wait for a whole truck. I ordered all the stuff that delayed orders to include adaptive steering, 5th wheel prep, and all the other options. The truck was built with everything but the Platinum Multi Contour seats. A Platinum without the seats that make it a Platinum with a $300 credit. Not really a Platinum in my opinion. I'll see what the dealers resolution to this is. If the dealer can't come up with a reasonable resolution I will complain to Ford.
Today the dealer is not inclined to resolve anything. Told me; Unfortunately, it's Ford's fault and there is nothing they could do. Told me to let them know if I didn't want the truck. BS customer service here! I know it's not their fault but they could at least try to be helpful instead of just blame Ford.
This is a rare thing to happen in my lifetime of ordering vehicles. It raises a red flag and signals me move on from this deal. This truck will likely be a POS that was pieced together from the parts bin during the 2022 supply crisis. No telling what other corners were cut that they didn't tell us about. I will find a new dealer for a MY23 order.

You just sound bitter. I guess I might be upset too, but it is not the dealers fault, or Ford's fault. They have been skipping around trucks to see if maybe they get the parts, and people were complaining. They are kind of in a no win situation. People are pissed because their truck was not being built, and now they are pissed because they are scheduled and missed out on the seats returning. Simple choice, take the truck or move on.

Nope, I'm not Bitter. I am disappointed. Are you a physic or something?

Sounds bitter. No-win situation for ford and the dealer here. If they hold, customer is pissed they have no truck. If they build, customer is now pissed they can’t have their a** massaged.

I think Ford could have handled it better. A few months ago they could have announced the seat problem and given customers the option to accept the build without the seats or hold out for the (perhaps unlikely) possibility they will restock. If the wrong choice is made, the customer could only blame themselves.

its totally Fords fault.
1. They could email the customer and tell them what is holding up their truck and give the option of build without or hold until parts avail. They seem to send spam efficiently.
2. Lack of communication during this entire ordeal is unforgivable...
3. we're not talking about a $19,000 car. Some people, like myself, buy a new vehicle every 20 years. Maybe improve the buying experience like Tesla has.
I got lucky...build is the week of Sept 5th...but the dude that got screwed because he's Aug 29th has got to really feel like a gut punch...

Since I am already waiting 9 months, why not a little longer. Because of this I decided, screw it, find a used one instead, so I did. Turns out my order will have the seats after all since it hasn't been scheduled yet, no vin, nothing.

I'd say it's a win situation for Ford. The truck w/o MC seats will sell at more profit in Ford's pocket.
My 2022 platinum is suppose to be delivered the end of the week without the mc seats. Tough call on weather I should accept the truck without them or keep my 2019 limited. Don’t know how badly the mc seat delete will affect value down the road but I’m sure the 2022 platinum with mc delete will still be worth more than my current 2019 limited in 4 years or so.
I don’t see it impacting the future value. That’s relative to the features you have. I see it more impacting interest. Just like any other feature, some might care and others won’t and many won’t know any better.
Consider how many people buy a vehicle and realize they didn’t get something they assumed they had. Happens all the time. I’m sure we’ll eventually see posts of people complaining about not getting the seats they assumed they were getting. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out.
2 years from now, there will be threads of, I thought these trucks had MC seats? Hopefully Ford didn't produce a large batch during this time, so there will be few of them on the market in a few years, by then most will have forgotten about it.
