The sliding door in front of my center console will no longer retract by itself. Has anyone had this issue and if so how did you fix it? I am trying to avoid having to dismantle the entire center console just to get to the spring mechanism.
I bought my console second hand, and the sliding door was a little slow when I got it. I cleaned out the tracks before I installed it, and that got it back to new.
Unfortunately, I believe you have to remove the whole console to get at it. There is a cover that you can pop off in the truck, but it doesn't give you access to the slider's tracks.
