I recently borke both my sunglass and door opener holder doors of of the overhead console. Does anyone know how much they are and if they are even available sold seperatly.. Thanks
You can get the doors seperate or you can get them with the housing. The list price on just the door is $81.38 each or you can get the housing with both doors for a list price of $117.55. Let me know if I can provide you with any other information.
I just replaced my overhead console the other day (2004 f-250 psd). I only had the garage door opener door broken but was almost as cheap to replace the whole thing. The individual doors have nothing more than plastic hinges, hence the reason they break with little pressure. As far as the entire console, it simply pulls off with a little pressure, and the new one snaps back in. No need to disconnect any wiring harnesses or anything.
I have a question about the overhead console, does it have a wiring harness to it?
If so were can i get one?
And does anyone know where the wires connect to?
Thanks for the input.
Thanks for the comments on how to remove and replace the overhead console on the 2004 Ford F250 pickup. I gently removed mine by using a large flat lever under each side of the console to pop it loose from the clips. Be careful not to damage the headliner. No screws or cables to bother with. Replacement is accomplished by just snapping it back in place. I learned that replacement of the entire console is around $100 for parts while the cost of just one of the compartment covers is nearly $90. Sounds like replacement of the entire console is cost effective and results in extra parts for another time if needed.
