I was watching the livestream on YT from Tim Bartz eCommerce Director of Long McArthur Ford (Salina, Kansas) and last night he described the steps of the ordering process for FORD.

He goes into all the different vehicles and the dates, changes etc but at the 45 min mark, he goes into and describes the ordering process in detail. Later he also says if you email him, he will email you the constraints for your particular model of interest. He also answers questions. For someone who is interested in the details of Ford, I have not seen anyone who knows more about what is going on and willing to share his knowledge.

He does this livestream every tuesday and it can be long. He will talk about ALL different models not just SD. He also takes questions at the end. FYI.

 

Yes, but his main focus does seem to be Maverick and Bronco orders and spends a lot more time on them than all the others. I find he glosses over Superduty information without giving enough detail. His information does help though with understanding what is holding back some orders.

 

I won't disagree with your comment about the focus on Maverick/Bronco. But he is representing a particular FORD dealership that likely has a lot of sales in those areas. And it might be that is where the new information is regarding FORD right now. While this forum is focused on Super Duties.

Many of the issues here in the SD forums are really FORD issues and not just SD issues. And this livestream talks about many issues that would help SD forum readers learn why things are done, how things are done, and what is happening in general. I think that if many SD forum members watched his livestream, they would understand better what is happening with their SD orders. I know he talks about how allocation works, I know he talks about price protection for orders, how some model orders are being rolled over, how the different FORD reports works, etc. Also, if there are changes in dates to a particular model, or constraints on a particular model, monthly production numbers for a model, etc. . He is a wealth of information for FORD and for someone who has an order ongoing, I would suggest he is the most up to date person I have found regarding FORD. He also made the offer to send you the constraints for your particular model at the present time. He has access to insider information, regional managers, memos etc not just us talking about what we think, he has the best information....all subject to change of course...LOL.

I wanted to put it out there to help others who really want to know more, to learn, to help them understand and also a great source of new information regarding ALL models but if there is changes to SD dates, guides, etc, he will put it out there and you will know in a timely manner and with good authority that is the best information known.
