In my opinion.... easier to swap center sections....then you don't have to mess with bleeding brake lines or e brake cables. Again..just my .02

FYI,,I have not personally set up a 9" Ford..,,
But,, I thought the ring and pinion were all together as one unit.
Seems like just pull axles out of donor rear pull pumpkin, Check gear ratio clean it up, check out backlash, inspect teeth, look it over and if good stick it in OP truck.
If I am out of line here sorry.

Buddy helped me just swap the pumpkins. It was easy, sans the oil bath. Can't wait to get this truck restored!
