Do you not have the original 1954 Ford bench seat or are you just wanting to change. I have a perfect original 1954 Ford bench seat stored in my shop. If you want/need it, let me know. Thanks, Steve
Thanks to those who replied. My buddy with the '64 just bought a seat out of a late 90's Chevy truck 2 dr with the built in seat belts for his 1964 half ton chevy and I know the cabs are some wider than the old mid fifty f100s. He has the path blocked to his truck and commented that the seat was real hard. I've contemplated a mid '80's Ranger seat but I would think that they may be a hair smaller than original 1954 F100 seat
Truck and parts update: Thanks to all of you here on FTE that helped me with my parts acquisition over the past ~ year and a half. You know who you are. And thanks to anyone that helps me in the future. I haven't got in to the LABOR part of the truck quite yet. Time at work is consumed on several 1965 Mustang coupes and is tying up all of the shop space.
The best parts find in the run of parts of everything that I have gotten recently is the real, original 1954 grille. It was on Facebook Marketplace this past winter. It was ~ $60 to $80 dollars. I can't remember exactly. It was 70 miles away in the southside of Nashville,TN, TG (thank goodness). Me and the Wife made a few hour day trip out of it, then on our way back we ate at the historic Stan's Restaurant at the Columbia TN exit on I-65. Grille, fuel and food I still come out good.
