Power steering problem
So I just swapped my 99 f250 cab, 6.8, and tranny transfer case onto an 06 f550 chassis. Everything works great but I can seem to get my power steering to work. I have jacked the front up, and turned the steering wheel lock to lock probably over a hundred times. No difference. Any idea what may be the problem? Power steering was great before the swap.

Also, this power steering pump was turning 37" tires which really makes me think it's not the pump

I won't be a ton of help, but maybe it'll spark some conversation.
Are you sure you've got the hoses hooked up correctly? testing the pump for flow wouldn't be bad, though could get messy.
Sorry I don't have more for you.

Thought of that too so I got diagrams from both vehicles to check it and it's hooked up correctly.

So I bought a new power steering pump for an 06 f350 with the 6.0 and it may have helped some but not really. What else could be wrong? None of the steering components are bad because it spins pretty good when lifted up off the ground.

I once had problem with the return hose collapsing. I found this out after replacing the pump and it was still not working, worth a look
