To all the Veterans:
A would like to extend a simple Thank You but that will not do.
I am only 32, BUT I do realize that if it were not for you the world that we all take for granted today would most likely be VERY different.
To all those that came home....... Thank you for the life that my children can lead today.........
To all those that didn't make it home....Your sacrifice is not forgotten. You are truly missed....................
To those who are still missing...........You have not been forgotten.....Maybe those who can find you, but NOT by those that remember you.............................
Theo, It's better to be Remembered than Forgotten............Even if it is once a year..............
Thank you from Myself, my Wife, and my 2 children.
...As I was watching tv yesterday, I noticed a plethora of commercials, All trying to sell us something and none acknowledging my fallen brothers and sisters or my currently serving brothers and sisters...Hell, I was starting to think that it was all about buying furniture.......well off to work for me
Peace yall, my salute to those in the days gone by, my gratitude to those who have since picked up the banner....
C 3/28th Inf...BLACK LIONS !!!

Here's something that I've always thought about as I was serving in the Marine Corps. I've got it good. There aren't many conflicts that the good ol' USA and friends can't end in a few short weeks. I just got back from Iraq and Kuwait a couple of months ago. I was there from February to May. Four months! Most of the battles before the '91 war lasted at least four years. I can't imagine fighting day in and day out someplace like guadalcanal, Iwo Jima, Hue City, Chosin Reservoir, Viet Nam, Belleau Wood or Pelileu. That fighting and those wars lasted for ever, I could only imagine how long it must have seemed. We've got it good these days. Sure we still take senseless casualties, but not as many as back then. Thank you to all who have participated in the making of history of this great nation.
As much as I hate the current situation, one major good thing has emerged. I have never seen so many people standing and saluting veterans. After all these years, it feels good, and brings a tear to my eye. To all in the Brotherhood, thank you for letting me be one with you, and thanks to those who carried the load before and now.
