I’ve got an 01 f250 sd and I want to put on an 08+ rear bumper…I’m told they fit perfect, but I am just worried about the tow hitch on the truck…I know the bracket that holds the 7-pin harness will have to go, and I also don’t have a spare underneath, but has anyone done this with a factory hitch? Also do the 08+ taillights fit the 99-07 bed? I’ve been told so but not sure, has anyone done this?
Will
the hitch and the bumper should bolt on. The factory rear bumper is held on by these two small thin brackets. It’s actually sort of a joke. The hitch bolts to the bottom of the frame
Thanks, I guess I’ll figure out whether the hitch I have fits under the bumper when I go to bolt it on…I know it’s not much of a bracket that holds them on, but that’s because they’re literally supposed to crumble and absorb shock from a collision…I like the 08+ bumper because it makes the truck look a little more beefy, same as the newer mirrors…

It should all bolt right on. Unless you got some crazy hitch made for a custom type bumper it should bolt up no problem. The biggest thing is that some aftermarket hitch cross section some time hang lower than a factory hitch as they are more of a universal hitch with multiple
mounting ears to accommodate different trucks and bumper set ups.
