I'm new here, recently bought a '66 F250. I cannot for the life of me seem to find anything in regards to long bed sheet metal or beds, did i unknowingly purchase a truck composed mostly of unobtanium or is there some trick to finding parts for this?
my understanding is the f250 body is the same as the corresponding f100's, just the chassis differs. is there a range of years the body metal for these cars carries through?
If you are looking for bed sides I'm not aware of anyone making them. The 1966 F250 2WD bed would be the same as 1964 -1966 F100/F250 2WD and 1966 F100 4WD.
If you are in need of the bed floor there is a company in Florida reproducing them with the correct rib spacing... Not cheap but good quality... It involves drilling out about 6 million spot welds to get your existing floor out. I am in the middle of the process on my Unibody long bed. Another route would be to try and find a bed that has been converted to a trailer. Check Craigslist and FB Marketplace. I have bought a few beds that were once trailers. Often though the floor will not be much better than the one you have, but you never know.... In FL... Evolutionary Rides LLC.. Joey Montague is the owner. https://www.facebook.com/evolutionaryrides/
Here are some production #'s from another thread here.... Also make sure you use the "F" word and not the "S" word! Ha...
oh nice, that's cool to know. so i guess the next question is were the stepside's available in a longbed size? and were the F250's longbed only? I had kinda assumed 'no' and 'yes,' respectively.

There you go using the "S" word again... F250's were only the long bed so I would say the answer is yes to both... Flareside boxes came in 6.5'(F100), 8'(F100 & F250) and 9'(F350) I believe.....

Actually I mis-spoke... The WB for the F250 was not 128" all years... But they were always only long beds in normal production... I have seen some really short WB special builds like airport trucks etc...
Ok, I was looking through the 66 brochure... Seems like there were 2 different wheelbases for F250's that year... 4x4 was different than 4x2... So, now I am not sure how many different box lengths there actually were....
