Hi fellow Ford Enthusiasts. My 79 4X4 F150 engine sadly just died yesterday (351 windsor). Are there any Ford crate engines available with efi? Or can the core be sent out and replaced by a rebuilt 351 with a bit more power? Also looking to upgrade from the 4 speed manual transmission for a 5 speed…any suggestions?
Nice looking truck.
You can order or build a 351w to any power level you want, you just need the appropriate amount of cash.
For transmissions, Ford made the M5OD, ZF5 and 6 speeds and the T5 found in mustangs, the ZF is a HD truck trans with granny 1st while the others are more street oriented, all can work with a windsor.
