Help me figure this out
I am getting no fuel to the carb on my truck.
. I have a 1970 f100 4x4 with a 4.9 in it. New Carb New Fuel pump. I pulled the tank out and made sure it was clean and the pick up was clear but no matter what I do it won't start or run. My mechanic friends never show up to help like they promise they will. So I am doing all this on my own

A little gas or starting fluid down the carb will tell if spark or not.
If it tries to start it has spark, no try no spark.
Did you replace ALL RUBBER FUEL LINES?
They may look good but could have a crack and suck air or be broken inside and blocking fuel flow.
I also had the wrong size rubber hose on the pump to hard line and would not pull fuel and I was trying to pull fuel from a gas can on the fender.
Oh I replaced the pump because of it and when the new pump would not pull fuel I started looking why.

When I replaced tank i blew iti all back out and got some granola from the hard line and then with new tank and sender etrc that was good
Im thinking he has not verified spark based on what he said, so the gas could be a red herring on his journney
