Yet another Sync Thread: Dealership update for a 2011 F150?
After adding my 2011 F-150 XLT to the Ford Account dashboard. It says that it has an update and that it's a dealership installation. Any reason why this would be? It's Gen 1, Version 3.2.
I downloaded a 4.6 update and put it on a 16GB drive (formatted FAT), and the installation failed saying it might not have had enough size, and/or meant for a different model.

Any ideas?
Apparently the original owner never brought it in for that 1st update which is dealer only, or someone with IDS and a current subscription to Ford's diagnostic services. After that 1st flash, subsequent others can be done via usb. Was the same way for me after I bought my 2013 truck so I bought IDS which came with a 3 day sub to Fords diag services.
