Weather Stripping

My rear hatch leaks!!! Generally only in a heavy rain, but pretty consistently. Any suggestions on where to source the right weather Stripping?

Tasca doesn't have it either...tried ordering last week. Has anyone figured out a suitable replacement moulding profile?

Escape has a similar section. Not sure if its compatible. You may need 2 to get around the EX's gaping hatch opening.

You could always look at Explorer, Edge and maybe the latest van thing they build.

Looked in the system and the sections are fairly crude, some not showing all the features. My search was for the base number but that may have changed for that part. I can keep looking.

These guys have a universal catalog with cross-sections. You might be able to make something from them work.

Mine was leaking between the glass and the frame, had a glass company come out and reseal the glass.

I haven't inspected the strip back there to confirm/refute this but could you try to reinforce stripping with 3/8 surgical tubing as popular with our door seals?

Take the part number and start calling dealers! There's got to be one somewhere. Expect to pay $$$. The gougers are buying up parts just for people like us cause they know the Excursion is a well sought after vehicle. Good luck!
